Annual Function 2023

#NCS Delhi celebrated its Annual Day on 23 August 2023 at Talkatora Indoor Stadium. The occasion was graced by Admiral R Hari Kumar, #CNS as the Chief Guest. The function was also attended by Senior Naval Officers, dignitaries and parents. The theme for the event was ‘Udbhavam’, a Sanskrit term representing the ‘beginning’ of eternal learning and enduring enlightenment. The programme commenced with an enthralling patriotic display by students from Sankalp. Performance by NCS children comprised traditional art forms from various regions portraying the rich cultural heritage of India. The show also promoted environmental consciousness and corruption-free society. The school Principal, Ms Oshima Mathur, along with the Head Boy and the Head Girl presented the school report highlighting the achievements in academics, sports and co-curricular activities along with new initiatives taken by the school. The Chief Guest congratulated the students and teachers for the splendid performance. He mentioned that the programme covered all regions of our great nation, andwas a perfect display of national integration. He told the children that the values, principles, critical analysis and creative thinking that they acquire in school would mould them into tomorrow's leaders, policymakers and technocrats. The CNS reminded the children that they would be leaders of our country in Kartavya Kaal, taking Bharat to its rightful place as a developed nation by 2047. He gave twelve points for the children to follow, so as to become better citizens and influence the society in a positive way. The landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon was screened live during the event. The students, teachers and the entire audience witnessed the momentous occasion with hearts swelling with pride. As a token of Navy’s constant support to NCS Delhi, the Chief Guest presented a cheque of Rs 10 Lakhs for augmentation of infrastructure at the school. #HarKaamDeshKeNaam

Annual Function 2022

Navy Children School Delhi celebrated its Annual Day on 15 November 2022 at Talkatora Indoor Stadium. Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff and Mrs Kala Hari Kumar, President NWWA graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. The function was also attended by senior Naval officers, invitees, guests and parents. The theme for this year’s Annual Day was ‘Navonmesh’ - A New Beginning.

The event underlined the importance of hope and new beginning for humanity after Covid-19 pandemic. The event was a medley of dance, poetry, orchestra and drama. The programme commenced with ‘Swagat Gaan’, a welcome dance praising our motherland and its glory. It was followed by ‘Musical Symphony’ where the students played a blend of musical instruments accompanied by beat boxing. Students with special needs from ‘Sankalp’ gave an enthralling dance performance on medley of Bollywood songs. The tiny tots of primary school presented ‘Wheel of Life’, the life cycle of a butterfly and highlighted the importance of resilience. The yearning of the school, waiting for its students to return to its portals during Coivid-19 pandemic was portrayed through the musical play ‘Prateeksha’.

Students of primary school enchanted the audience by taking them into dreamland through ‘Magical World of Books’. Skillful precision and coordinated movements were at display during ‘Sports Synergy’. The students also sensitised the audience through a medley ‘Save Soil’ which underlined the need for preservation of soil. ‘Cheraw Frolic’ a traditional cultural dance form of Mizoram was presented by students with rhythmic coordination using bamboo staves. ‘The Finale’ event saw all 1100 performers coming together singing the glory of humanity and giving a message of hope to everyone.

The school principal, Mrs Oshima Mathur along with Head Boy and Head Girl presented the school report showcasing achievements of the school in academics, co-curricular and sports along with new initiatives taken by the school.

The Chief Guest commended the stellar performance of the school in academics, sports and co-curricular fields. He also praised the school’s efforts in upgradation of academic facilities and infrastructure development. The Chief Guest encouraged the students to inculcate reading habits and take charge of their lives with responsibility, right attitude, determination, inquisitiveness and passion without fear of failure. The Chief Guest presented a cheque of Rs 10 lakhs to the school on this occasion for infrastructure development.

Annual Function 2019

New Delhi: Navy Children School, Delhi celebrated its Annual Day on 21 November 2019 at Siri Fort Auditorium. Admiral Karambir Singh PVSM, AVSM, ADC, the Chief of the Naval Staff graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The function was also attended by Senior Naval Officers, invitees and parents. The theme for this year’s Annual Day was ‘Shubham Panchtattvam’, the five elements of nature.

The event highlighted the need to understand and preserve five elements of nature in order to enjoy the wonderful diversity of Mother Nature. The event was a medley of dance, poetry, orchestra and drama. The inaugural performance ‘Musical Symphony’ enthralled the audience where the students played a blend of musical instruments accompanied by beat boxing. Students with special needs from ‘Sankalp’ performed on stage revering the Mother Nature. The students showcased the significant elements of nature through the vibrant tableau ‘The Nature’s Pride’. The students also portrayed the unity among the elements by lending their voices to semi classical compositions which glorified the elements of our existence. ‘The Little Mermaid’ came alive on stage as students enacted the popular fairytale with a twist. ‘Kaavya Abhivyakti’ was an amalgamation of rendition of poems and on stage painting by the students.

The Finale witnessed the students leaving the audience spell bound with their rhythmic moves as they performed a blend of Bharatnatyam, Koli, Bihu & contemporary dances based on the five elements of nature.

The Chief Guest commended the efforts and initiatives of the school in providing quality education to the students. He urged the students to follow their dreams with passion, constructive imagination and determination without fear of failure in order to maximize their potential and capabilities. The Chief Guest gifted Rs 5 lakh for the development of the school. The release of the annual school magazine ‘Anchor’ was the highlight of the extravaganza.

Annual Function 2018

The school celebrated its much awaited Annual Day function on 29 October, 2018. The occasion was graced by the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Sunil Lanba PVSM, AVSM, ADC, Mrs Reena Lanba and other dignitaries. The theme for the Annual day was ‘Hope and Aspiration’.

The event highlighted the need to sow hope and aspiration in young minds in order to harvest a world based on equality, equanimity and harmony. The event was a medley of music, theatre and dance. The inaugural performance ‘Invocation’ was a soulful symphony in Raag Yaman. The street play titled ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ enthralled audience with its energetic depiction of the mottos of Shiksha, Swacchata and Ekta. The dance drama on Einstein transported the audience into the magical world of light. The harvest dances from across the world kept the audience’s feet tapping. The students’ presentation of the French and Spanish songs depicted the power of music to unite the world. The ‘Khelo India Brigade’ spread the message of fitness.

The finale was a powerful bi-lingual rendition of Tagore’s ‘Where the mind is without Fear’. The Chief Guest appreciated the effort of the school in motivating its students to spread the vision of one world through hope and aspiration. Furthermore, he urged the students to study, play and participate wholeheartedly in all activities to maximize their potential and capabilities. The Chief Guest presented the school with an amount of Rs. 5 lac for the development of the school. The release of the school magazine was the highlight of the extravaganza. The programme ended with the National Anthem.
