The Senior Student Council of #NCS #Delhi assumed office at an impressive #InvestitureCeremony held on 28 Jul 2023. VAdm Krishna Swaminathan #CPS at #NHQ attended event as Chief Guest.
The ceremony was also attended by Commodore G Rambabu, Commodore (Naval Education); members of School Management Committee as well as students and parents. The Investiture Ceremony is one of the momentous
occasions when mantle of responsibility is entrusted to newly appointed Student Council. The ceremony signifies reliance and confidence that school reposes in the newly elected office bearers. Delegation of
authority to children is important as it inculcates leadership values and makes them responsible citizens. The newly appointed Student Council has 35 members from Classes IX to XII, chosen through a rigorous
selection process. The Student Council will oversee school activities for current academic year through its various sub-committees. Master Saatvick Saxena and Miss Advika Sharma of Class XII will lead the Student
Council as Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. They will be assisted by Master Ishaan Sood and Miss Priyam Kundu of class XI, elected as Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl. The Chief Guest presented
appointment sashes and administered oath to the newly elected appointees. During his address, Chief Guest told appointees that leadership involves accepting responsibilities, upholding values and motivating others.
He also urged them to lead with passion, purpose and empathy; fostering a positive environment.The Chief Guest and other dignitaries also interacted with members of Student Council after the ceremony.

New Delhi : Navy Children School, New Delhi conducted Investiture Ceremony for Academic Year
2022-23 for Senior Wing on 12 September 2022. Vice Admiral Suraj Berry, Controller Personnel Services, IHQ MoD
(Navy) attended the function as Chief Guest. The function was also attended by Cmde AA Abhyankar, Commodore
(Naval Education), Cmde Sanjay Nirmal, Commodore (Naval Education) II, Cmde Satish Shenai, NM Commanding Officer
INS India, PTA members and parents of the appointees.
36 students from Class XI & XII donned the leadership roles after undergoing rigorous selection process.
The students were presented with appointment sashes by the Chief Guest on this occasion. Master Samrat Vashisht
and Miss Tamanna Sharma of Class XII were appointed as Head Boy and Head Girl, and Master Advait Pisolkar and Miss
Kritika Saxena of Class XI as the Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl.
In his address to the students, the Chief Guest complimented the efforts of the previous appointees and exhorted
the new incumbents to carry out their duties with pride, dedication and integrity while striving for excellence
in all endeavours. He also urged them to work with passion while having a vision for better school, society and
the country at large. The Chief Guest complimented the role of teachers in imparting quality education to the
students and stressed upon the need for grooming the students for future leadership roles. Later, the Chief Guest
also interacted with appointees and teachers over tea.
The Investiture Ceremony for Academic Year 2021-22 for Senior Wing was conducted on 29 September 2021.
Vice Admiral Suraj Berry, Controller Personnel Services and Chairman School Management Committee was
present for the function which was attended by Commodore Satish Shenai, Commanding Officer, INS India,
Captain Edwin Jothirajan, Captain (Naval Education), Principal and Staff members along with other guests
and invitees from NWWA, PTA and parents of the appointees. 36 students from Class XI and XII were selected
and appointed after a rigorous process. The students were presented with appointment sashes to mark their
new leadership roles. Master Aditya Dahiya and Miss Mrinalini Nair of Class XII were appointed as Head Boy
and Head Girl. Master Roopak Singh and Miss Tamanna Sharma of Class XI are the Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl.
In his address to the students, the Chief Guest complemented the efforts of the previous appointees and exhorted the
new incumbents to carry out their duties with pride, dedication and integrity while striving for excellence in all endeavours. He also urged them to work with passion while having a vision for better school, society, our country and the world at large. The Chief Guest complemented the role of teachers in imparting quality education to the students despite #Covid19 challenges and stressed upon the importance of joint and concerted efforts of the management, teachers and parents for overall development of the students. Later, the Chief Guest also interacted with appointees and teachers.
The Senior School Investiture Ceremony was conducted virtually on 31st August 2020.
A total of 89 students from Classes XI and XII appeared for the online written test on
29 July 2020, followed by virtual interviews and extempore. A total of 36 students were
selected for the prefectorial board. Each prefect’s name along with the designation was
announced by the Principal, Ms Oshima Mathur during the online ceremony.
The Navy Children School Chanakyapuri New Delhi held its Investiture Ceremony on 09 July 2019.
Vice Admiral B Dasgupta AVSM, YSM, VSM, Controller Personnel Services presided over the function
as the Chief Guest.
