WORLD METEOROLOGICAL DAY CELEBRATION - 2023
The World Meteorological Day, an annual event, was celebrated in the school on 4th May 2023. Each year during these worldwide celebrations, there is a focus on a theme of topical interest. The theme for the 2023 celebrations was ‘The Future of Weather, Climate, and Water Across Generations’. Distinguished personality, Commodore Abhinav Barve, Commodore Naval Oceanology and Meteorology, graced the event as the Chief Guest for the day. The school conducted an Essay Writing Competition for the students of classes IX and XI. All the winning scripts were read by the students themselves on the stage. Poster Making competition for the students of classes VI to VIII was also conducted. The theme of the competition was ‘The Future of Weather, Climate, and Water Across Generations’, in which 139 students participated. The selected posters were displayed on the stage and the students explained the idea behind each poster. The great show culminated with the prize distribution ceremony wherein all the winners were handed over the prizes by the esteemed guest followed by Green Anthem. It was indeed a flawless and impeccable show of talent tendered by participants and an equally enriching and educative session for the audience.
