Navy Children School Chanakyapuri, New Delhi conducted its Primary Investiture Ceremony on 3rd Aug 23 to usher
in the Primary School Student Council. The occasion was graced by Commodore G Rambabu, Commodore (Naval Education)
as the Chief Guest.The ceremony commenced with a solemn procession showcasing the formal inauguration of the student
council members. Esteemed dignitaries, dedicated faculty members and proud parents were present to witness the occasion
and show their support for the student leaders. The newly appointed Student Council has 24 members from Classes IV and V,
chosen through a rigorous selection process.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY (JUNIOR)- 2022-23
Navy Children School, Chanakyapuri, solemnised the Investiture Ceremony of the Junior Wing for the academic
year 2022-23 on September 20, 2022, in the school auditorium with great fanfare. Cmde A A Abhyankar, Cmde (NE),
graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The function was also attended by Cmde Satish Shenai, NM, Commanding Officer,
INS India, PTA members and the parents of the appointees.
The 36 elected torchbearers from class V, underwent a rigorous selection procedure which included a written test,
interview and extemporary oration. The student troops marched with full zeal and enthusiasm.
The chief guest administered the Investiture oath to hold the school motto in high esteem.
The proud parents’ happiness knew no bounds when the chief guest conferred the lapels,
badges and sashes on the newly elected Student Council.
Suryaansh Bhargava and Aadya Kantwere appointed as junior head boy and junior head girl wheras Athang
V Nadkarni and Ritisha Patel as junior deputy head boy and junior deputy head girl respectively.
Cmde A A Abhyankar exhorted the newly elected student council members to abide by the rules and regulations,
enshrined in the school’s Prefectorial Constitution. He also underlined in his address that a good leader
always leads the people towards the path of growth and carries the thought of wisdom. He urged the student
council to lead by example.
The Junior Investiture Ceremony was conducted online from the school Video Conferencing room via Microsoft
Teams on 30 September 21. 36 students were selected to be a part of the new team after clearing the written
test, interview and extempore.
The Investiture Ceremony was also attended by the outgoing Prefectorial Council of 2020-21 which was present
to pass the baton to their counterparts with the message to keep the NCS flag flying high. Principal,
Mrs Oshima Mathur announced and handed over their stripes and tallies to the teacher representatives.
The students took an oath on being appointed as leaders. They promised to fulfil their duties and
responsibilities with utmost sincerity. Principal ma’am congratulated and welcomed them as the Primary
Prefectorial Council of 2021-22.
The school has an established House System aimed at fostering team spirit and healthy competition among students.
The purpose is to encourage full participation in school activities by all students. It enhances pupil teacher
relationships as members of each house, work together to gain valuable points. The students are divided into
four houses –Himgiri, Nilgiri, Udaigiri and Vikrant. Each house is headed by a Captain and a vice Captain.
The Investiture Ceremony for the Primary Section was conducted on 06 August 2019 to usher in the young budding leaders
in the form of various appointments. The Vice Chairman of the School Management Committee, Cmde Rohtas Singh, graced
